The cost of your consultation is $75, and it is credited towards your procedure when you schedule. Generally, you can expect to spend between 1 ½ and 2 hours at our office during your initial consultation.
An Artistic Analysis
In order to best help you achieve your desired outcome, your consultation will generally start off with a discussion of your aesthetic goals. At this time, Dr. Grossman and Dr. Capraro will conduct an artistic analysis, evaluating your desired outcome as well as your natural physical features. Together, you will formulate an aesthetic solution which will satisfy your goals, providing you with natural looking results that enhance all of your physical traits.
As part of your artistic analysis, we will bring you to our photo studio to take some “before” pictures for your chart. These are extremely helpful to our surgeons, and they regularly refer back to the photos when assessing your case. The pictures will also give you a basis for comparison with your finished results.
Surgeons as Educators
At Grossman Plastic Surgery, we believe that patient education is an important component to the process. During your initial consultation, Dr. Grossman and Dr. Capraro will take the necessary time to make sure you understand everything that is involved in accomplishing your aesthetic goals. If they feel that your preferred plastic surgery procedure is not the right way to achieve your desired outcome, they will not hesitate to steer you towards a more appropriate course of action, providing you with a detailed explanation as to why they believe you will benefit from their approach.
Your patient education will cover every aspect of your desired procedure:
- Any necessary preparation prior to surgery

- Detailed follow-up care instructions
- A thorough explanation of any risks and complications that might occur
Through this education process, you and your surgeon can develop realistic shared expectations for the outcome of your procedure.
At the end of your consultation, you will meet with one of our patient counselors to go over the financial aspects of your surgery. We will discuss the various payment options we offer at this time.
