The Facial Liposuction Procedure
Facial liposuction is performed using very fine cannulas and is frequently referred to as “microsuction.” Small volumes of fat are removed from strategically targeted regions of your face. Dr. Grossman and Dr. Capraro employ VASER® LipoSelection® techniques, which utilize low power ultrasound to liquefy the fat for easy removal. The VASER® technique also stimulates the dermis layer of the skin to produce new collagen fibers and facilitate skin shrinkage. The tiny incisions used in this procedure heal quickly and are almost imperceptible after healing.
Recovery and Follow-Up Care
The recovery period for facial liposuction is fairly short. You may experience mild discomfort, bruising, and swelling immediately following the procedure, but this should subside within seven to ten days. You should be able to resume normal activities and return to work within a few days of the procedure. It will be approximately three to six months before you see the final results.
