Education and Experience
Dr. Capraro earned his undergraduate degree at Catholic University of America and received his Masters degree in physiology from Georgetown University. In 1992, he graduated from Boston University School of Medicine.
After earning his medical degree, Dr. Capraro completed the following postgraduate training:
- General surgery at Easton Hospital in Pennsylvania
- Plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee
- Fellowship in breast aesthetic and reconstructive surgery at the Hand Plastic Surgery Centre in Grand Rapids, Michigan
- Specialization in breast reconstruction and aesthetic surgery in San Paolo, Brazil
- Fellowship at Rose Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, training under Dr. John A. Grossman
After completing his fellowship at Rose Medical Center in 2000, Dr. Capraro was invited to join Grossman Plastic Surgery. Since then, he has worked side by side with Dr. Grossman, providing some of the highest quality plastic surgery services in the Denver, Colorado area.

Professional Accolades
Dr. Capraro has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally on breast reduction, breast lift, and reconstructive surgery. In March 2000, he presented four lectures at the prestigious National Venezuelan Congress of Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic and Maxillofacial Surgery in Caracas, Venezuela. Dr. Capraro also performed a live surgical demonstration of the SPAIR breast reduction technique at the Venezuelan meeting.
During the past decade, Dr. Capraro has appeared on several local television shows to discuss and perform various surgical procedures. He has also been published regularly in both professional and lay publications throughout his career.
